Estimating Engineer Location: Norwich Job Type: Full-time Salary: £25,000-£27,000pa Reed Engineering are working in partnership with an amazing global company based in Norwich who are looking for an Estimating Engineer. This role is crucial for providing Tenders for new business opportunities globally, ensuring their products meet customer requirements and promoting their full business portfolio. You will be part of a dynamic team, working to deliver competitive offers and assisting in product sales. They have a full development and mentoring plan in place and are happy to receive applications from recent Graduates. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare Tenders following receipt of customer requests for quotation. Read and review customer technical specifications and commercial requirements. Produce cost estimates using the internal costing system. Provide detailed technical clarifications to customers on submitted bids. Communicate effectively with customers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Liaise with internal engineering teams to ensure technical clarifications are answered accurately. Undertake additional tasks as reasonably requested by the Quotation Team Manager. Required Skills & Qualifications: Essential: GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent). Degree in Engineering or a related field (desirable). Understanding of Rotating Electrical Machines (desirable). Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment (desirable). Relevant experience in a similar commercial role (desirable). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively. Self-confidence to appropriately challenge colleagues when necessary (desirable).
