The Gastrointestinal Conditions National Strategic Clinical Network is an exciting strategic organisation to work for, that drives the collaboration of Health Boards, Trusts, professional and charitable organisations and aims to improve the experience and quality of services for those with inflammatory bowel disease. We are looking for an excellent Senior Project Support Officer, providing high-level administrative support, liaising with colleagues, stakeholders and a wide range of professionals using strong communication skills.
Any candidate should have a proven track record and understand the Gastrointestinal Conditions National Strategic Clinical Network agenda and organisational arrangements to succeed in supporting and delivering Network business. Candidates will need to demonstrate proven ability.
Our working arrangements still require candidates to work from home; however, the offices of the NHS Executive include Cardiff, Baglan and Llandudno. Willingness and ability to travel across NHS Wales organisations is essential.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Project Support Officer are to support specific projects and sub-groups within the Gastrointestinal Conditions Strategic Clinical Network as well as providing general administrative support.
The post holder will:
* Support the maintenance, management and oversight of project plans.
* Support the development, implementation and management of required documentation.
* Take responsibility for the management of defined areas of work.
* Support the management of budgets.
* Support stakeholder communications and engagement.
* Produce reports on progress for internal and external use.
* Represent the specific work programme team as requested.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will work as part of a team implementing the strategic priorities through specific work streams delivered by the Gastrointestinal Conditions Strategic Clinical Network within the NHS Executive to deliver their programme of work, supporting the National Clinical Lead and Lead Network Manager to deliver on national and regional projects and in the administrative functionality, maintenance and oversight of specific streams of this work programme. The post holder will need to develop good relationships and work with a broad range of partners including the National Clinical Leads, Chairs, Welsh Government, Health Board colleagues, patients, third sector and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the work plan.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* The post holder will require NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of experience, together with a high level of numeracy, written and spoken English.
* Good knowledge of MS Office Suite.
* Awareness of policies and procedures relating to dealing with Information Governance, confidential data both personal and organisational.
* Thorough understanding of project/programme office functions.
* Working knowledge of filing/data systems including records management.
* Agile Foundation.
* Prince 2 Foundation.
* MSP Foundation.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in an administrative role.
* Previous experience of working with financial systems and/or purchasing of goods or equipment.
* Previous experience of dealing with stakeholders, third sector and/or members of the public.
* Experience of project support work.
* Experience of communicating at all levels with professional staff and the public.
* Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
* Experience of transcribing and minute taking.
