A wonderful two day, fixed term, live-out nanny position has become available, working with a professional and friendly family who live in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
You will be working alongside Mum, who is currently on maternity leave, looking after two little girls aged 3.5 years and 4 months.
The role will initially be until September 2025 when the eldest will start school. The hours of the role will be two days (to be mutually agreed) 09.00-18.00 (18 hours/week). The role could potentially extend beyond September with increased days when Mum returns to work, but this will be discussed separately.
The family is looking for a reliable, fun, bubbly and active nanny, who can join their happy family. They feel the most important thing is to find a nanny who will fit well into their lives. The nanny should be a team player, a good communicator, creative and with a real interest in child development and childhood milestones. They would like someone who can help to prepare the eldest for starting school.
Flexibility in this role is a must. While on maternity leave, Mum will sometimes leave both children with you and go off to do her own thing. Other times, she will take just one child to gain quality time with each of them. There may also be times when you all do something together.
The little girl is active and enjoys trips to the park and country walks, as well as indoor activities such as arts and crafts, imaginary games and reading stories.
The role will include nursery duties. This includes tasks such as general childcare, the children’s laundry and keeping their bedrooms and play areas organised and tidy.
Although there is a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, etc).
You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children, preferably homemade whenever possible. The house is dairy free. You should have full knowledge of weaning and potty training. At the end of the day, you will help oversee bathtime and leave all used rooms tidy, ready for the parents to take over.
You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
