About the role

Then North Northamptonshire Council has a great opportunity for you to join us as our Stronger Communities (Business) Manager!
What will you be doing?
This role brings together the business and administration function across the service, providing administrative and business support to the Stronger Communities Service management team to enable them to maximise their time managing their services across North Northamptonshire.
You will also be responsible for the management of the Council's community centres, as well as park and open space bookings, and you will have direct line management responsibilities for staff to ensure effective management of facilities and services, income generation, health and safety, and compliance with relevant legislation for the safe operation of these centres.
A key priority for you will be the income generation and development of the business model for the facilities (i.e. community centres and parks & open spaces).
In addition to this, you will be managing the marketing and promotion of the service area through the management of websites, social media, branding, promotional materials, and marketing plans. A key element of this role will be to ensure the timely submissions to central government for the draw-down of resettlement grant funding (to date c.£10M has been drawn-down). You will ensure that Freedom of Information requests, complaints and compliments, Councillor, and MP enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will bring:
* experience of delivering high-quality administrative and financial management services
* experience of facilities management, including repairs and maintenance schedules and capital projects
* experience of delivering customer services, especially in response to member, MP, and resident enquiries and complaints and Freedom of Information requests
* outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
* an abundance of drive and determination
It would also be nice for you to have:
* leadership of high-performance project teams
* experience of emergency planning and business continuity planning
* experience of developing and delivering services working across directorates and with multiple partners

Where you will be working:
The team is currently based in Kettering, but the Council has a flexible working policy and supports hybrid and home working options. The ability to travel between sites across North Northamptonshire is essential to this post. There may also be occasions where you will be required to work outside of normal office hours.
