What you’ll be doing…
* Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all users.
* Apply technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues on own and as part of a team.
* Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IT system issues.
* Responsible for the recommendation, sourcing, set-up, installation, and configuration of computer hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices, and updating the Councils’ asset register.
* Handle escalated calls from Executive Assistants and contribute to their prompt diagnosis and resolution.
* Provide support to users via phone, email, remotely, and face to face or via MS Teams for complex incidents and requests.
You must have…
* Extensive relevant IT experience.
* Experience of IT support within a Microsoft Windows environment using current Microsoft Office products.
* A customer-focused approach with excellent customer service skills putting the customer at the center of everything you do.
* Working knowledge of PowerShell and other current Microsoft products.
* Practical knowledge of Service Management, preferably certified through a recognised framework e.g. ITIL.
* Experience of an IT support environment (private or public sector).
