Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Overtime: Paid after 38 hours (Time & a half)

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a skilled Technical Service Engineer to join their expert team and contribute to their reputation for excellence.
The Role:
As a Technical Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced packaging automation machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and delivering first-class customer service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Electrical Expertise: Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics with ease.
Machine Wiring: Connecting and wiring control panels, including 240V and 3-phase electrical systems.
Commissioning & Servicing: Handling the commissioning, breakdowns, service, installation, and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) of machinery.
HMI & IO Cards: Working with inputs/outputs and making adjustments to IO cards.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Utilizing your problem-solving skills to diagnose, repair, and optimize machine performance.
Field-Based Travel: Covering a large geographical area with a company vehicle provided.
Proactive Approach: Taking initiative as a technical expert, ensuring customer satisfaction and machine efficiency.
Overtime Availability: Willingness to work additional hours when required, with generous overtime pay.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
City & Guilds qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or extensive hands-on experience in a similar field.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics.
Experience working with packaging, inspection, or automation equipment (preferred but not essential).
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently.
Willingness to travel as part of the role with minimal nights away.
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with excellent customer service skills.
