Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer - Electrician, you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things – for ourselves, for the partners we work with, and for a truly sustainable future.
Your new role
As an Electrician you’ll be responsible for:
1. To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and our clients.
2. To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work under the supervision of the Team Leader.
3. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools.
4. To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
5. To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Maintenance Manager of any follow-up action that may be required.
6. To take part in an on-call rota providing 24 hour, 365 day cover to the facilities.
7. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
8. To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
9. The postholder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
10. To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
About you
1. City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition.
2. Experience of working within Critical Environments.
3. Managing both Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Building Management Control Systems (BMS).
4. Good IT skills and fluency with a range of PC packages.
5. Have the knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
6. Experience in Managing Permit to Work Systems. Working at Height use of high level and powered access equipment, as well as the use of portable and fixed ladders.
The successful applicant will be required to submit to relevant DBS/PVG background screening before starting in the job.
