The Gedling Living Well Team is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and qualified Social Worker, working with individuals who have a Learning Disability. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist team offering assessment and commissioning support to these individuals.
You will work in a strength-based way and aim to make a real difference in the lives of Adults with Learning Disabilities and their carers. There may be a requirement at times to support work with individuals who have Mental Health and/or a Physical Disability. Support to develop skills in these areas will be provided.
You will work in accordance with the following legislation: The Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. Good communication, time management, and IT skills are essential. The team has a long history of multi-disciplinary and partnership working with other agencies. You will also undertake Adult Safeguarding investigations and take an active role in Decision Support Tool Meetings. This is a rewarding service area within social work, and the team offers good support within a friendly atmosphere. You will receive regular supervision and have access to appropriate training and opportunities for personal development.
