We are seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to join a Humanities faculty at a welcoming school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a subject that encourages reflection, empathy, and an understanding of diverse worldviews. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
2. Inspire pupils to think deeply, debate confidently, and appreciate the role of religion and belief in society
3. Contribute to the development of a high-quality Religious Studies curriculum
4. Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback to support learning
5. Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected and valued
6. Participate in department planning, CPD, and enrichment activities
Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in Religious Studies or a related subject
2. Has secure knowledge of the secondary RS curriculum, including world religions, philosophy, and ethics
3. Is passionate about teaching and inspiring young minds
4. Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
5. Is reflective, organised, and keen to contribute to whole-school life
6. Works well as part of a team and values collaboration
