アマゾンジャパン オペレーションズ部門では急速な事業拡大の中で、お客様の利便性を追求し“ほしい物がすぐ届くサービス”を実現してきました。そのサービスを支えるチームの1つExternal Fulfillment(EF)部門では、外部の物流パートナー(以下、3PL)の協力のもと、急激な需要の変化にスピーディー且つ低コストで対応することで、セレクションの拡大や低価格の実現に貢献しています。
本ポジションは、新規物流拠点(以下、サイト)のレイアウト設計及び立ち上げをリードし、プロセスの最適化とイノベーションを通じたCustomer Experienceを高めることをミッションとしています。
Role Overview
Amazon Japan Operations is realizing a quick delivery service and customer convenience while rapidly expanding its business. As one of the team, External Fulfillment (EF) division contributes to the expansion of selection and lower price by flex-up the capacity in cooperation with third-party logistics partners (3PL) accommodating sudden demand changes.
In this role, you will lead new logistics site layout design and improve Customer Experience through process optimization and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design high-productivity and storage-efficient sites by collaborating with 3PL to achieve required inbound/outbound throughput and storage capabilities.
2. Plan and support implementation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and storage systems in coordination with 3PLs and MHE manufacturers.
3. Study and implement the latest market technologies to optimize operating costs.
4. Evaluate and consult 3PL with proposed layouts and equipment specifications, based on Amazon's safety and engineering standards.
A Day in the Life
1. Confirm new site requirements with internal stakeholders, calculate capacity, and compile design requirements with consideration of applicable technologies.
2. Layout design (CAD drawing).
3. Observe and track the progress of construction and provide support if needed.
Required Skills and Experience
* CAD drawing skills (AutoCAD).
* Experience in proposing, managing, and driving large-scale projects.
* Experience in production facility launches and productivity improvements involving cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
* Basic Microsoft Office skills.
* Business-level Japanese communication skills.
* Analytic skills related to productivity and Return On Investment (ROI).
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years R&D or engineering experience.
* Experience managing small to medium-scale construction projects.
* Strong communication skills to work efficiently with internal/external business partners.
* Experience in designing and installing MHE/storage, or knowledge of process automation.
* Team management and capability to proceed a project independently in a dynamic environment.
