As a Clinical Home Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the day-to-day running of the Home, including taking full professional accountability in respect of the clinical management of the home.
You will ensure all aspects of the management of the Home meet with the Fundamental Standards, the NMC Code of Conduct, the requirements of the Care Quality Commission, and the Company's own Aims and Objectives, along with any other regulatory agencies' requirements.
You will demonstrate leadership of your staff team and act as a positive role model, ensuring your presence is visible within the community of the home.
You will oversee and maintain the care of the residents living at the Home, including clinical aspects, ensuring and actively participating in meeting each resident's needs according to their individual wishes and preferences, in such a way as to respect their dignity and promote independence.
You will ensure full implementation of current legislation and quality control/assurance requirements in all aspects, along with adherence to Company policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for the management and supervision of the staff team, including Registered Nurses, and promote teamwork and a positive working environment and culture.
Essential Skills:
1. Registered Nurse with active PIN registration - (highly desired)
2. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. NVQ/RMA/Diploma minimum level 5)
3. Previous management experience within a nursing home in a similar-sized environment
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills including robust IT skills
5. Robust knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct and standards
6. Good knowledge of Fundamental Standards and the Care Act
7. In-depth understanding of the principles of Person-centred care and leading teams to focus on providing high-quality care, promoting independence and enablement
8. Proven ability to lead, supervise and manage a large team of staff, inspiring and motivating others
9. Evidence that knowledge and skills are up to date and in line with current professional development
10. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
11. Excellent communication skills with residents, families, stakeholders, and other relevant bodies
12. Caregiving to residents with nursing needs and those who live with Dementia
13. A flexible approach to working hours
