Our client is a leading provider of control systems used in the power generation sector. They are looking to hire a motivated and talented Graduate Controls & Automation Engineer to join their business.
Position Overview:
This is a permanent position with a two-year period in which to build on your academic education with practical experience.
We are looking for an Engineer who is willing and able to learn about our industry, innovate, and develop their career with a rapidly growing company.
You will gain exposure to the following technologies:
1. Industrial automation, PLCs, and SCADA.
2. Control system design.
3. Distributed control systems.
4. MQTT and IIoT emerging technologies.
5. Industrial networks.
6. Digital control systems.
7. Application of engineering and computing expertise to investigate complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the design and development of control systems for power generation facilities.
2. Work with Senior Engineers and Consultants to gain practical experience and knowledge in the industry.
3. Support the integration of automation solutions for business and industry.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement engineering solutions.
5. Work on projects from initial design studies to electrical DC and AV design, panel manufacture, PLC software, SCADA design, and programming.
6. Participate in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
7. Gain an understanding of compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
8. Demonstrate willingness and communication skills to understand and meet customer expectations.
