Cover Supervisor Position – Pontypridd Area – Immediate Start – Flexible Hours - £100-£120 p/day
We are actively on the hunt for a Cover Supervisor to deliver engaging classroom lessons where work has been pre-set by the Teacher in KS3 & KS4. The role is based at a school in Pontypridd and will be an immediate start on a short-term basis.
Daily Duties:
Supervise work that has been pre-determined by the Teacher
Working within a team of teaching staff
Manage behaviour of students to facilitate environment for learning
Communicate with students and answer any questions they have
Follow school policy in dealing with emergencies and issues that could arise
Collection of work at the end of the lesson and organise return of work to appropriate teacher
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a partnership secondary school in the Pontypridd area who are looking for a Cover Supervisor to start ASAP. To work as a Cover Supervisor you do not need qualified teacher status. However, we are looking for candidates who can exhibit an enthusiastic interest in the education of children and have the right fundamental qualities to excel within the role.
The role is to cover lessons of students within the KS3 & KS4 bracket. Your main responsibility as a Cover Supervisor will be to manage the behaviour of the class and deliver the pre-set work by the teacher. Students can become easily distracted when their continuity is broken, and the regular teacher isn’t in. Therefore, it is the role of the Cover Supervisor to retain the students’ attention and keep them focused on the tasks set while maintaining their enjoyment.

The only requirements for the role are a fully enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service & valid registration with the EWC or a willingness to apply for both. Teaching Personnel can provide you with assistance for both documents.
