Job overview
1 x Fixed Term contract/secondment opportunity for up to 12 months
As we continue to grow and improve, we are excited to announce that we are looking for registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our team at Charlton Lane Hospital. Charlton Lane is an Acute Mental Health Hospital for older age patients situated in Cheltenham, and it provides inpatient services to the population of Gloucestershire. It offers a vital service in supporting and rehabilitating those suffering from mild to severe mental health problems. All wards are serviced by an enthusiastic, multi-professional team of people, including Doctors, Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals who are supported by Ward Secretaries and Hotel Services Staff. Mulberry Ward is a busy 18 bedded mixed gender acute admission ward.
We are seeking highly motivated and committed Band 5 Staff Nurses to complement our current multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate for this post would be an RMN seeking an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping those experiencing an acute mental health concern.
Main duties of the job
In return for your commitment we will provide the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive induction and Mental Health Nurse development programme (including a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme for newly registered nurses) which ensures that you feel fully supported with the right tools to undertake this challenging, but rewarding job.
