Job Purpose: We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated trained health visitor to join the Fort William health visiting team. The post is full-time (37 hours). You will work for the Highland Council with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
Evidence demonstrates the importance of prevention, early identification, and intervention throughout the early years of life. Health Visitors have a significant public health role to play in relation to individuals, families, and communities. You will identify health needs as early as possible and improve health outcomes by promoting health, preventing ill health, and reducing inequalities.
You will visit families in their own homes and provide health advice and support. Your health visiting practice will be based on the Universal Health Visiting Pathway underpinned by GIRFEC and the National Practice Model.
You will be working as an autonomous practitioner with families, young children, and vulnerable individuals. This means you must be approachable and have excellent communication skills. Time management and organisational skills are also essential.
In discharging these responsibilities, the postholder is responsible and accountable for maintaining clinical, staff, and information governance.
Please APPLY ONLINE. If you are unable to apply online and wish to request an offline application pack, please contact the HR Transactions Team at T: 01955 608279 (24-hour voicemail) quoting the post reference number above.
