We now seek a Commercial Excellence Manager to join our Commercial Operations department to drive our commercial team to new heights.
What’s the Mission?
Reporting to the Commercial Operations Director you will develop and execute our Commercial Excellence strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader business vision, optimising processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As the Commercial Excellence Manager, you’ll champion our Commercial Excellence strategy, working closely with the Commercial Operations Director to develop and deliver key initiatives. You’ll take ownership of the Commercial Excellence roadmap, executing activities, tracking progress, and presenting updates to senior management. With a focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you’ll coach teams, promote data-driven decision-making, and align commercial activities with the wider business strategy.
This role requires you to lead cross-functional projects, design systems, and map processes to optimise commercial operations and enhance performance. You’ll play a vital part in managing training frameworks for the commercial team, ensuring best practices are understood and implemented. Your expertise will also be key in identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with regulatory teams to address any issues effectively.
With a focus on measurement and improvement, you’ll conduct regular audits, develop balanced scorecards, and monitor progress against goals. By working with trading, marketing, finance, HR, and IT, you’ll ensure all Commercial Excellence activities are fully integrated with business priorities, delivering impactful results across the board.
Your time will be split across working from our Head office in Elland, working from home and UK travel as required.
Mission Critical Skills
* Essential Experience: Business improvement expertise, project management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Leadership and Communication: A natural ability to train, develop, and communicate across all levels of the business.
* Analytical Excellence: A sharp mind for problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex change initiatives.
* Experience in the UK construction market, familiarity with commercial policies or systems, and expertise in data analysis and reporting tools will set you apart.
