Duration - 12 months Key responsibilities: Manage and respond to inbound press enquiries on a range of policy comms issues, including managing relationships with press and external stakeholders Land proactive moments and mitigate comms risk from reactive enquiries Produce high quality written policy comms content - statements, newsroom posts, social media posts, messaging, Q&As, internal escalations Distil complex policy concepts into plain language for press, policymakers, and the general public through a wide range of channels and materials, including written, video and social posts Work with other cross-functional teams in EMEA, especially policy and legal, to ensure that comms’ views are reflected in strategy and go-to-market planning for external moments Manage data-driven, measurable and social-first communications strategies on relevant policy comms topics Counsel internal stakeholders on a broad set of communications matters ranging from media engagement strategy to crisis management Minimum qualifications Around 8 years experience in corporate/policy communications for consumer facing brands, or in relevant Government communications departments. Experience in managing high profile and fast-moving global issues, and developing and implementing reactive and proactive communication campaigns; A proven ability to translate complex legal and policy issues into succinct written and verbal communications, including for senior leaders; Experience in managing cross-functional stakeholder relations, including working collaboratively with cross-functional groups including legal, public policy, product and marketing; Proven ability to produce short, succinct and compelling content; Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised, dynamic environment, with excellent judgement and negotiation skills; Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities, with flexibility to pivot/reprioritize quickly as needs arise.
