Clinical/Counselling Child Psychologist or Psychotherapist

We are seeking a Band 8a Clinical/Counselling Child Psychologist to join our busy and dynamic outpatient CAMHS team in Redbridge on a permanent contract. We have a growing and supportive therapy team, and we are looking for a psychologist who is passionate about young people's mental health and wellbeing to join us in the delivery of high quality and effective CAMHS interventions.
This role requires a post-graduate qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body and have 2 years plus experience in delivering Psychological Therapies in a CAMHS setting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an effective team member, using their own initiative, supporting their peers and team lead. They will have a commitment to actively support, liaise with other professionals & agencies as we embed a trauma and culturally informed model of practice within the service. They will receive regular clinical supervision from the lead psychologist and will be expected to attend and participate in MDT team meetings. This role is suited to a candidate who is keen on service development, as well as managing a clinical caseload.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g. art psychotherapist, psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist) to be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
Experience
* Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
* Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs.
* Experience of providing clinical interventions in different cultural contexts.
Knowledge
* High level knowledge of the theory and practice of short term and long term clinical interventions in CAMHS/EWMHS.
* Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and adolescents and safeguarding procedures and policies.
