About the role
The goal of the Groups Field Assistant is to support the delivery of world-leading groups and under18 programs in-country, by focusing on participant experience. We have a variety of short-term contract options and need vibrant individuals brimming with energy, who thrive on travel adventures and share our zeal for conservation and community projects.
Role and responsibilities:
* Supporting the Groups Senior Program Coordinator and Head of Groups Delivery in the running of group programs.
* Assisting with project work including planning sessions.
* Managing the groups on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they have a positive experience.
* Interacting with local partners for certain activities.
* Delivering presentations and training relevant to the project activities.
* Acting as an enthusiastic role model for participants and providing guidance and mentorship.
* Working with the team to ensure the program operates to a high standard and all health and safety protocols are followed.
About you

Professional skills and experience:
* Prior international travel experience.
* Previous volunteer or study abroad experience beneficial.
* Great people skills, such as:
o Facilitating thought-provoking discussions.
o Working with participants through unforeseen challenges such as homesickness, cultural differences, group conflict, etc.
o Being an active listener.
* Country-specific or local knowledge is always a plus.
* Not required, but would be advantageous:
o Experience managing participants on group or individual service or adventure programs.
o Trained in first aid, wildlife safety, mountaineer safety, or equivalent.
o Diving qualifications.
o Fluent in languages other than English.
