What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic Food and Nutrition Teacher (Food Technology subject) who will inspire and motivate young people to learn about food and nutrition. As the subject teacher you will also teach a second subject within the school timetable. As the Food and Nutrition Teacher you will teach students of different ages and abilities and help them understand the connections between what they eat and their health. You will help the students develop their practical skills in choosing and preparing food. This will help them make informed decisions to maintain and improve their physical and mental health. You will play a pivotal part in rolling out the ‘food vision’ of the school development plan, covering sustainability, work related learning, which is a programme offered to students to provide them with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for adult and working life.
The school has excellent facilities which offers a high-end kiosk to students, and will have the use of a new dining room including a café, where you will support the students in work related learning, enabling skills for life.
