To support the fantastic business opportunities that are present in our specialist Water Management Team we are looking to bolster our existing team with an experience Technical Sales Advisor. So, whats the role? With the fantastic training and support offered by your manager and the rest of the team, you will be putting your stakeholder management and technical sales skills to great use. You will proactively identify, manage and convert water management project opportunities within an assigned geographical area; drive and leverage Specifiers, Contractors and Merchants at office level; and work collaboratively with colleagues to identify, defend, and secure opportunities within Civils & Drainage channel markets What skills do you need to bring? Previous success has shown us we need a commercial thinker who can build relationships, influence, and has a passion for their craft. Technical Take-Offs and Drawings Analysis: Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to perform accurate take-offs for drainage products and translate this into a quotation meeting the customer’s needs. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to confirm project requirements and identify any potential design or technical issues early in the process. Ensure take-offs are completed with high accuracy to support efficient quotation and manufacturing processes, reducing errors and improving client satisfaction. Answer technical queries. Sales and Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for customers within the designated region, managing inbound and outbound sales calls. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all Marshalls customer groups to ensure high levels of service and retention. Generate and follow up on quotations, providing customers with timely, accurate, and competitive pricing. To actively ‘find work’ on a daily basis through proactive outbound calling, ABI and other online sources. Look to create early engagement with all parties involved to influence and convert opportunities. Work with internal departments (such as engineering and production) to ensure accurate product availability, lead times, and delivery schedules. Work closely with external sales representatives to provide technical expertise, detailed information on products, applications, and solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the company’s range of water management products, their applications, and relevant industry needs. Stay informed on competitor products and industry trends to position the company’s offerings effectively. Strong awareness of regional, national and individual targets at all times, looking to strategize and project plan to achieve monthly and year end goals.
