Purpose of the Role: As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our College's campuses. You'll provide effective porterage, minor maintenance services and essential support to staff and students. Your flexibility, reliability and ability to work independently or as part of a team will be critical in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all. Key Responsibilities ● Teamwork and Flexibility: Work across campuses on a rotational shift pattern: ○ Week 1: Monday-Thursday (6:00 am - 2:00 pm). ○ Week 2: Monday-Thursday (2:00 pm- 10:00 pm). ○ Fridays: 10:00 am-6:00 pm. ● Porterage and Maintenance: Perform manual handling duties, set up and relocate furniture / equipment, and carry out minor maintenance tasks. ● Minibus Operations: Drive the College minibus to facilitate resource transportation, postal service and operate a shuttle service. ● Safety and Security: ○ Conduct site safety and housekeeping inspections. ○ Perform key holder duties, including locking / unlocking premises on a rota basis. ○ Patrol the estate to ensure the security of the premises. ● Customer Service: Provide excellent service while interacting with staff, students and visitors. ● Logistics: Handle postal services, distribute incoming goods and facilitate contractor / college visitor booking-in procedures. ● Systems and Administration: ○ Access and monitor security systems (CCTV, fire alarms, intruder systems). ○ Use the computer-based Help Desk system to manage and respond to routine estates tasks. ● Other Duties: Work flexibly to cover absent colleagues and undertake additional tasks commensurate with the role. Person Specification Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Qualifications & Knowledge ● Full, clean UK Driving Licence and able to drive a mini bus for work purposes (D1 category required). ● Relevant and up-to-date first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain). ● IT literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). ● Practical understanding of Health and Safety at work regulations as they apply to estates and maintenance services. Experience & Competencies ● Previous experience in a similar role or environment. ● Basic maintenance skills and the ability to perform minor repairs. ● Excellent customer service skills with a focus on care and professionalism. ● Strong literacy and numeracy skills for administrative tasks, including record-keeping and inspections.
