Job summary Ash Surgery is looking for a bright, friendly, self motivated, responsible and reliable individual to join the reception team in this friendly and supportive practice. We are currently seeking at least one part-time candidate to join our reception team. There will be opportunity for extra hours and personal development and progression within the surgery. Main duties of the job The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist. a. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments b. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately c. Signpost patients to the correct service d. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies e. Photocopy documentation as required In addition to the primary responsibilities, the medical administrator may be requested to: a. Support administrative staff, providing cover during staff absences b. Provide support to the clinical team. c. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records d. Complete opening and closing procedures. e. As required support the prescribing clerk in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently About us Ash Surgery is a traditional GP Practice, set in the heart of rural East Kent, close to the city of Canterbury.
