Head of Commercial (Securing the Future Programme) Exclusively retained role with Insight Executive Group and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Commercial to lead the procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships for the transformative Securing the Future Programme for Airedale General Hospital. This vital role is part of a unique project to develop a new hospital by 2030, addressing critical structural issues at Airedale General Hospital. Role Purpose As the Head of Commercial, you will: Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and cost management across the Programme. Drive efficiencies, maximise value, and reduce risks to support the Hospital 2.0 vision. Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, advising on commercial strategies that support continuous improvement and operational enhancements. Key Skills and Experience Required Senior-level expertise in commercial and/or financial leadership within complex projects. Professional qualifications in procurement or commercial management (e.g., MRICS, MCIPS). Extensive experience in contract management and procurement, ideally within the NHS. Proficiency in handling ambiguity, strategic problem-solving, and fostering teamwork. Demonstrable leadership abilities and the capacity to influence and negotiate effectively.
