Chef | Ty Bronllys School | Brecon | 37.5 hours a week | Permanent | £12.82 per hour | Term Time Only

Being a chef for Ty Bronllys School will give you an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people whilst also putting your skills and experience as a chef to great use.
A typical day in the life of a Chef at Orbis Care will involve:
1. Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.
2. Storing, preparing, and serving food and beverage items in accordance with all Food Handling and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
3. Daily cleaning of all areas of the kitchen in accordance with the Unit's schedules and specifications, using appropriate equipment, chemicals, and work methods.
4. Maintaining documentation duties and procedures for efficiency and accuracy, e.g., temperature of food and equipment.
5. Ensuring all equipment is maintained and cleaned appropriately. Reporting any maintenance problems to the Managers as soon as they occur, keeping an accurate record.
To be successful in a career with Orbis, all you’ll need is:
1. Catering Diploma (City & Guilds/BTEC).
2. Level 3 Food Hygiene.
3. Significant experience with line management responsibilities.
4. Ideally, experience in a care home setting; although desirable, this is not essential.
5. A can-do attitude, resilient and reliable nature.
6. Compassion and empathy.
7. Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice.
8. The ability to work flexibly.
