The north west London acute provider collaborative (NWL APC) published its first strategy in July 2024. This sets out how we will work together as four acute Trusts across NWL. The strategy sets out a guiding approach to set and raise standards across the APC, improving patient outcomes through aligning all the Trusts' approaches so they all meet best practice.
For clinical specialties, we are implementing an APC pathway redesign programme - to improve outcomes and raise standards for patients across north west London through ensuring we are all aligning to best practice within clinical specialties.
Working with key stakeholders, you will be integral to facilitating the identification, creation and distribution of the data and analysis that we need from each of the four Trusts for a specific allocation of specialties - overseeing relevant data management improvement activities as required.
Main duties of the job
1. Working closely with colleagues in clinical systems and Information to ensure that the information needs of clinicians, commissioners and the wider Trust are understood and satisfied.
2. Working with senior clinicians and managers in the sector to exploit information more effectively using the information already collected.
3. Developing and implementing Trust-wide and Departmental information management systems for a range of clinical areas.
4. Closely monitor the provision and format of available reports to ensure that it provides the necessary support that clinicians need to understand and interpret information making changes to processes and reports where required and ensuring best practice is adhered to across the team.
5. Regularly undertake research and development to understand and test the application within the Trust of current data visualisation and BI technology trends to ensure that the most cost-effective technologies and development approaches continue to be adopted.
6. Working across organisational boundaries in the Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) to align team effort and outputs to ensure coordinated delivery to meet NWL ICB sector goals and initiatives.
