We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our friendly and expanding and highly skilled team at East Surrey and Crawley Hospitals. You will have two years' experience of working in an acute setting. You will be assessing, caring for and recovering patients undergoing Endoscopy. You will be assisting clinicians and specialist nurses with all endoscopic procedures diagnostic and therapeutic over a six day working week.
Some key components of this role include:
1. Working closely with Endoscopists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, patient centered care.
2. To lead in the procedure room as an expert in delivering a wide range of advanced therapeutic endoscopic intervention including management of a GI Bleeds.
3. To assist in monitoring standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve the Endoscopy patient experience.
4. Take part in the out of hours/GI bleed rota.
5. Take part in the pre assessment rota.
6. Take part in training and development of staff.

Our Endoscopy Services are JAG accredited. The East Surrey Endoscopy Department is a state of the art 4 procedure room suite. We provide the following full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy - Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopies, ERCPs and Bronchoscopy Services. We also provide a pH & manometry and capsule Endoscopy. We have Bowel Scope lists as part of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and are developing our service to become a stand-alone unit in the future. At Crawley Endoscopy, we undertake Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy - Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, and Flexible Sigmoidoscopies.
The candidate will take part in an On call rota for GI Bleeds.
