Electrical & Instrument Technician - Energy & Infrastructure

Are you an experienced Electrical & Instrument Technician looking for a new challenge in a cutting-edge energy environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established infrastructure business operating multiple UK energy sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Planned Maintenance (PM) activities as per site maintenance schedules.
2. Perform both preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks.
3. Collaborate daily with permit signatories to prepare permit requests, method statements, and risk assessments.
4. Maintain HV distribution systems, rotating equipment, and associated control systems.
5. Write and authorise safety documentation for HV system work.
6. Safely isolate electrical systems and maintain LV rotating equipment.
7. Conduct maintenance on hazardous area equipment.
8. Deliver solutions within agreed timeframes while ensuring cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience in a continuous process or production environment.
2. NVQ / Apprenticeship in Electrical or Instrumentation.
3. Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to follow structured procedures and processes to meet operational targets.
5. Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work, including permit to work processes, risk assessments, and method statements.
