Teacher of History - King's Leadership Academy
The role
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspiring and passionate teacher to join our outstanding Humanities department.
King's is a non-selective school with a rich foundation in traditional values and cutting-edge international research. We are widely respected and significantly oversubscribed, consistently ranking in the top 2% of schools in the North West in the most recent DfE performance tables. The History faculty is a forward-thinking, scholarly community where innovative teachers nurture and inspire talented students.
For the successful candidate, this represents a unique opportunity to join an exceptional team and help shape the future of a thriving department. Our curriculum is dynamic, knowledge-based, and deeply engaging, with students of all ages genuinely enjoying their History lessons. Departmental resources and schemes of work are of the highest quality, supporting teachers through efficient marking systems and research-driven pedagogy, which contribute to a healthy work-life balance.
At King's, we take a distinctive approach to education, emphasizing the development of character and leadership skills alongside academic achievement. We are not an exam factory. Our students are hardworking, conscientious, and an absolute pleasure to teach, creating a positive and supportive environment.
This is a rare opportunity for the successful candidate to join a compassionate team of outstanding practitioners who are dedicated to each other’s well-being and the success of every student.
