Established in 1986, Scottish Drugs Forum (SDF) is the national, membership-based charity committed to improving Scotland's approach to drug-related issues.
We influence this through our work by striving for compassionate, inclusive, evidence-informed policy and practice.
We are pleased to be recruiting a Digital Support Officer for our Local Support Team.
Are you a creative individual with a passion for supporting grassroots organisations?
About the Local Support Team:
SDF’s Local Support Team (LST) provides enhanced support to small and medium-sized grassroots organisations whose aim is to reduce harm to people who use drugs, people in recovery, and their families.
With over 35 years of experience in both frontline service provision and national policy development, the team understands the challenges grassroots organisations face, from the pressure to generate income to ensuring high-quality service provision and fostering a psychologically safe working environment for staff.
About the role:
As part of our team, you will provide developmental and capacity-building support to grassroots organisations. Growing an online presence is vital for future delivery and financial sustainability. Most organisations have limited digital exposure due to the prioritisation of project delivery with limited resources and increasing competition for grant funding.
We would like to hear from you if you are a highly creative individual who has a great understanding of digital needs, social media, content creation, along with fundraising knowledge, and want to help the Local Support Team increase the range of support available to grassroots organisations.
Benefits of working at SDF:
As an SDF employee, you will benefit from generous annual leave entitlement, a range of learning and development opportunities, competitive pension contribution, and an employee support and counselling service. SDF encourages a healthy work-life balance and offers a flexible working scheme and a range of wellbeing initiatives.
Our ambition is to work together to promote a more inclusive environment, which attracts all candidates and signals our commitment to celebrate and promote diversity.
SDF mainly works from home, but this post will involve some in-person work and require travel throughout Scotland, along with the ability to attend work in our head office based in Glasgow as required. Candidates should be willing and able to work effectively from home.
Closing date for applications: Monday 9 December 2024 at 5pm.
Interviews will be held on: Wednesday 8th January 2025.
Registered Scottish Charity No. SC008075
Flexible working, part-time hours, or job-sharing arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
