Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting a Major Player in the UK Flooring Distribution sector with their search for additional members of their Internal Sales and Order Processing Team. We are seeking Sales Professionals who are flexible and ambitious and keen to utilise their Flooring (or other Building sector Distribution) Knowledge in a great environment assisting with the sales and account management of multiple clients in a given area. Our Clients distribute Flooring materials to Retailers and Contractors in the Surrey wider South of England area and are part of a National chain of depots. The Role: As an internal sales consultant you will be working as part of a team and also individually when providing information and sales advice to potential customers. Our clients are seeking to offer a smooth buying experience for their customers who are drawn in initially via the companies Sales Representatives and Marketing activity, on a one to one basis via telephone, live chat and email. Your job is to offer them advice where required on which is the best flooring solution for their needs along with the benefits and features of the products with the end goal of completing the sale, incorporating accessories and maintaining set Gross Profit Levels. The Duties: As stated, this is a key role in the relationship between our clients and their customers and the role will involve briefly, and by no means exhaustively (this will be an evolving role) you will: Pro-Actively call all diarised customers in your workflow and manage their orders from start to finish. You will work closely with a Sales Representative and deal with any sampling requirements that their customers may have as well as taking orders over the phone from them and generally dealing effectively with anything they need whilst in the field. Ask for the Sale - be motivated for sales target with each customer to achieve/exceed weekly targets. In return you will be rewarded with generous Commission Package for Achievement. Deal with technical enquires that the caller may require help with to the best of your ability, you may need to close a call, research the desired answer needed, and return the call to the customer for best practice, though our clients (and us as recruiters) are seeking ideally to recruit people with the required skills and knowledge to deal with such enquiries. Reply to any enquires via emails that have been assigned to you before the end of your working day. Talk the customer through any special offers that our clients may have on other products or the product in question. Ensure all admin relating to the Sales and Ordering Process are completed promptly and concisely. In this role you will engage with customers both over the phone and face to face, you will be able to help answer any queries, provide price quotes and process their orders. You will develop and maintain new sales which will be beneficial and profitable, by pro-actively targeting new customers, along with developing and growing a designated account list. It’s a role that will see you collaborating closely with the warehouse to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time. Regularly engaging with our clients external sales force and credit control teams, you’ll also input orders onto our system and maintain sales records. Strong relationships both internally and externally are vital in this role as you will be required to liaise with other departments and third parties to provide accurate calculations. Being IT literate is a must as you will process all orders online / PC. If you have a flair for customer service, good IT skills and are looking for somewhere to enhance your career, this role is ideal The Person: From a Flooring Sales or Fitting Background ideally though strong consideration will also be give to candidates from a similar Distribution environment such as Builders, Electrical or Plumbing etc. Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills with an enthusiastic and Friendly manner. Comfortable with IT and Social Media. Tenacity, not afraid to ask for the sale. Professional and Knowledgeable on all types of Flooring, in particular LVT and Timber Flooring or willing to learn.
