Internal Communications Manager - Swindon Summary INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE Part-time 2.5 days/18.75 hrs a week, 12-month fixed term contract. We’re looking for an experienced internal communications professional who can plan, create and deliver innovative approaches to engage hard-to-reach audiences with people and cultural change. We need a seasoned professional, experienced in working across multiple large change programmes, who brings the full range of internal communications skills and experience – senior stakeholder management, communications strategy and planning, creativity and precise, on-time delivery, hosting and running large online sessions. This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months. Our internal communications have to be compelling, rich in content, inspire team conversations, and resonate with our people to connect us all with that cause.In this role you’ll join a team of internal communications professionals who are making it happen. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You will plan, create, and deliver an innovative communication and engagement approach for a project to improve our reward, performance management and career progression opportunities, helping us to attract and retain great staff and support them in delivery of our strategy. Your line manager will be an Internal Communications Senior Manager. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you: Have experience designing, executing, and evaluating communications for change programmes Able to act as an internal consultant, building highly effective and collaborative relationships with senior line managers Ability to think strategically and understand the broader organisational context and implications Proven track record in delivering communications through digital, print and face-to-face channels in large complex organisations Developing and delivering an internal communications strategy and plan which can flex and respond to changing / competing needs Creative thinking and problem-solving – able to advise on communication interventions in a broad range of scenarios, including crisis situations.
