An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well organised and customer focused individual to join our team within Greenspace & Country Parks. Within this customer focused role you will have personal responsibility for a portfolio of our country parks and will be an integral part of the wider management team supporting all of the country parks across North Lanarkshire Council.
Within these high profile areas you will be responsible for the day to day operational management and for the delivery of high quality services achieving a high standard of customer satisfaction. You will require passion, commitment and drive to develop and deliver front line customer services with enthusiasm and initiative to embrace evolving priorities, demands and expectations.
Our parks deliver not only day to day services to our public but also host exciting and varied events which will require you to use your experience; working within a relevant field, working with the public, supervisory experience and your experience of supporting events, ensuring our venues are fit to showcase these public events. To be a success in this role you will require excellent communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of our operational goals.
You will be responsible for promoting a positive culture of empowerment, ensuring continuous improvement of your own skills and knowledge and actively encourage others to participate in development activities, encouraging creativity and innovation whilst having commercial focus and entrepreneurship to deliver business solutions and facilitate the delivery of priority outcomes building on our reputation for best practice.
To be a success in this role, your will require to be customer focused and enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work you will present yourself positively, be confident and able to stay calm under pressure. You will be an innovative problem solver with the ability to develop strong working relationships across the organisation. You will be an effective verbal and written communicator. You will also have excellent organisational and IT skills, have the ability to analyse data and produce relevant reports and be customer centred in all aspects of service delivery as well as possessing sound knowledge of health and safety issues.
With an HNC, SVQ3, or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, you will have extended work experience within a relevant field. You must have experience working with the public and staff supervision. Ideally you will also have experience working on projects and/or events and dealing with external organisations and contractors.
You will require a flexible approach to work and must be willing to work on a rota which involved weekend working.
You must also have a current driving licence and be able to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire.
Working pattern:
Week 1 & 2: Monday to Friday 8.45am to 4.45pm (1 hr unpaid lunchbreak)
Week 3: Monday to Sunday 7.00am to 3.00pm (1 hr unpaid lunchbreak)
Week 4: Wednesday to Friday 8.45am to 4.45pm (1 hr unpaid lunchbreak)

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
