We are inviting applications from enthusiastic individuals to become a Rostering Officer and join our Central Rostering Team, based in the People & Culture Directorate’s HR Service Centre. This role encompasses administration of the Optima eRostering system and the Scottish Standard Time System (SSTS).
eRostering is being rolled out to all wards and departments in NHS Grampian and will ensure that clinical and non-clinical staff are rostered effectively so that the right staff are in the right place at the right time to deliver safe and effective patient care.
SSTS is a national system used by all wards and departments. It captures staff’s roster information and absences in order to generate appropriate salary payments for processing by our Payroll system.
Both eRostering and SSTS provide workforce information for management purposes. As a Rostering Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that Service areas are using eRostering and SSTS appropriately, providing advice and guidance to users, updating the system with employment changes and undertaking various quality assurance checks.
Applicants should be educated to HNC level, or have equivalent experience in a similar setting, and have a proven ability to manage a diverse workload whist working to deadlines. A keen eye for detail is required as well as maintaining high standards of accuracy. Good communications skills and being a team player are also key requirements of this post.
Experience of operating SSTS or eRostering is an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided.
Applications are invited for two posts:
1. 1 x Permanent part time post – 23.4 hours per week
2. 1 x Fixed Term post - 22 hours per week, until 30 November 2025
The successful applicants will be based at Summerfield House, Aberdeen.
Posts close at midnight on the indicated date unless the advert states otherwise. Post may close early due to volume of applications.
