Job Details Volunteer Role: Creative Suite Support Volunteer This is an exciting opportunity to help young creative voices flourish. Supporting young people, who might not otherwise have the opportunity, to start their creative journeys and build their confidence and skills. About Esteem At Esteem young people aged 14-26 can realise their strength to cope with life’s challenges and thrive into their futures. Our community is grounded in trust and respect, and built with young people for young people. We run a transformational range of free to access sessions which wouldn’t be available without us: Group Activities: Healthy meals, social, physical and outdoor activities, creative sessions, and trips. 1-2-1 Support: Professional counselling, mentoring, walk & talks, youth work 1-2-1’s, vocational support. Opportunities to Give Back: Volunteering, Paid Opportunities, Work Experience and Community Events. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1-2-1 support to young adults using Esteem’s Creative Suite. Share your skills and knowledge while allowing young people to develop their own visions. Support an Esteem youth worker at monthly Creative Collective ‘Power Up’ meetings, offering guidance and adding to creative discussions around the work young people share. Required Experience and Skills: Demonstrable experience in a creative industry, such as digital illustration, graphic design, music production, photography, filmmaking, live streaming, or podcasting. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with young adults from diverse backgrounds. A passion for inclusion and the power of giving everyone a chance to explore their creativity. Confidence using some of the kit in our creative suite equipment. Commitment: 2-4 hours per week, including 1-2-1 support sessions and the monthly Creative Collective meetings. To report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Team. The Creative Collective meets on the third Thursday of the month at 4:00pm. The other hours can be set with individual young adults within our opening hours (10am-6pm Monday to Friday). Training and Support: Volunteers will receive an induction into the Creative Suite and training on Esteem’s youth-focused approach, including safeguarding and trauma-informed practices.
