Job Description
My client is an international payments company looking to recruit a senior leader in the UK before they receive their FCA licence. They are only looking for candidates with UK FS leadership experience from the payments industry, and this person must be PSD Approved.
This role is a pure management position. It is looking for someone who can manage some of the relationships with the regulators, manage the internal teams (legal, compliance, risk, ops), etc., and grow with the business. The team has ten and will grow to 25 over the next three years.
My client leverages technological advancements to offer fast, secure, seamless money transfers and payments across borders. With its user-friendly platform, it ensures that its customers manage their transactions effortlessly.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and align with shareholders regarding business plans and strategies and implement them to achieve company goals.
• Ensure the company complies with its regulatory requirements and industry standards and identify and mitigate risks.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, partners and clients.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality: Oversee initiatives prioritising customer experience, ensuring that services are of high quality and meet customer expectations.
• Lead and manage the London team and ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Employee Development and Talent Management: Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and talent retention within the organization.
• Financial Planning and Budgeting: Monitor the financial performance of the UK entities and collaborate with financial officers to develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts that support the company's strategic objectives and ensure the financial health of each entity.
• Make key decisions on operational matters.
• Strategic Partnerships and Business Development: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and business opportunities that contribute to the company's growth and expansion and represent the UK entity in public and industry events.
• Identify and mitigate the risks to the UK entities.
• Work closely with the Head of Banking Operations for all the responsibilities as mentioned earlier.
• Monitor Industry Trends and Competitive Landscape: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes that could impact the company's operations or strategic direction.
The comp is likely to be from £120000 - £150,000 + discretionary bonus and benefits
