Who You Are As a Call Handler Responder for Carelink, you are someone who values the independence and security of elderly individuals wishing to live independently. You have prior experience in a call centre or have an understanding of social care for the elderly. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential, and candidates without this background will not be considered. What the Job Involves This position is focused on providing critical emergency monitoring and response services to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients. You will handle a variety of tasks, including: Providing call handling services Responding to emergency situations, including lifting and assisting uninjured customers with specialized equipment (training provided) Conducting safe and well checks for vulnerable individuals in the community Installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in client's homes Work is conducted during night shifts, with some office-based work and on-site responses required. Shifts are on a rolling rota, covering 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, for a total of 37 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays. This is a temporary 12-week position based at the Gatehouse on Kedleston Road, Derby.
