Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 6 Urology Deputy Team Leader to join the Urology Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse to work as a Deputy Team Leader within their friendly and enthusiastic team.
The team are passionate about the quality of care that they provide and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded nurse to join them.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities The successful applicant will be working as a Deputy Team Leader and will be responsible for the following;
1. Assisting the Clinic Nurse Manager in the running of the nursing team
2. Assist in the operational delivery of outpatient services ensuring the efficient running of the department, this will include clinical work in the department.
3. To ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice.
4. Carry out both clinical & managerial duties and audits.
5. Lead by example in providing excellent patient care.
6. Training and develop more junior team members.

7. Registered Nurse with NMC registration - your pin must not have any restrictions or condition
8. Substantial post registration experience
9. Senior Staff nurse with team leading experience
10. Enthusiastic and approachable
11. A strong interest and experience in Urology is essential
