To provide General Administrative Duties and Clerical Assistance to the Sterile Services Department as outlined within the scope of duties and responsibilities.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for prioritising own workload, and overseeing the duties of the Clerical Officer/s, as required. Liaise with customers regarding service requests or special arrangements, when necessary. In the absence of the Clerical officer/s, fulfil any duties, necessary in the absence of other clerical staff.
In conjunction with the Administration Manager, and clerical officer provide general administrative support for the Sterile Services Manager. In the absence of the Administration Manager, provide reports and data required by the Management Team.
Access manual records and computer based systems to provide quality objective data, reports, graphs and statistical data relating to quality objectives and operational activities as requested by the Sterile Services Manager.
Provide efficient secretarial support to members of the department including the transcribing of minutes, letters, memos, photocopying, filing, faxing and monitoring of stock levels. Operate the office equipment, photocopier, labellers, laminator, printers, computers and various software programs, especially the trace-ability system.

Qualifications
* Educated to Standard Grade level GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language
* NVQ Level 3 Administration or relevant experience to this level
* Copy/Audio Typing and Minute taking
* NVQ3 in Decontamination
Experience
* Experience using Microsoft Access database system and other traceability software.
* Previous experience of general office procedures
* Experience of working within the NHS
Skills
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within a busy office environment
* Ability to speak Welsh
