We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC).
Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Nurse/Digital Midwife/Digital AHP to join our innovative Digital Health Team at James Paget University Hospital. This opportunity is available as Secondment or Fixed Term Contract until March 2026.
As a Digital NMAHP, you'll lead the implementation of our Trust Digital Health Strategy, ensuring the effective use of healthcare technologies to support high-quality, safe patient care. You'll engage with stakeholders, champion digital working and provide clinical expertise across various projects, including the development of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution.
This role requires a presence onsite at James Paget University Hospital with travel to Norfolk County Hall on occasions.
Please note that a secondment will be considered, however, you should ensure that you have the support and approval of your line manager at the time of making your application.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will contribute to the design, training, and implementation of systems, analysing inpatient and outpatient processes, and recommending changes to process to achieve increased efficiency and enhanced effectiveness. This will include gap analysis, change impact and lessons learnt whilst supporting the delivery of cost improvement plans (CIPs).
Person Specification
Qualifications/training and professional development
* Registered Nurse, Midwife or Allied Health Professional on appropriate register e.g. NMC
* Educated at degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent experience
* Formal leadership and management training
Experience
* Extensive Management and Leadership experience within the NHS or similar
* Significant experience in leading organisational change and introducing safer ways of working.
* Recent clinical experience and experience of daily operational working in a service setting
* Significant experience of implementing Trust wide Digital Health Systems
* Knowledge and experience of DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards
Skills, abilities and knowledge
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
* Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload effectively
* Ability to lead, motivate and encourage others in a team and handle staff issues with a firm but tactful approach
* Ability to participate and work within a changing and demanding environment
