Our food & beverage client has an exciting opportunity for someone to join its Regulatory team in an entry-level/ junior position. As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with global regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting efficient internal processes to manage product safety and information. You will ideally have an understanding of global chemical legislation, including GHS, CLP, and REACH regulations, but those needing training will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Documentation Management: Create and maintain Safety Data Sheets, product specifications, labels, and other documents for customers, suppliers, and internal use in manufacturing. Process Improvement: Continuously refine and manage internal processes to efficiently collect material information for manufacturing, optimising turnaround times. Regulatory Compliance: Review supplier-provided information to ensure adherence to regulations. Product and Change Control: Oversee new product and change control processes in collaboration with the team. System Development: Support the development and implementation of IT systems to streamline product information management for technical, sales, and operations teams. Technical Advisory: Provide technical guidance to the business regarding hazard information and regulatory compliance. Experience & Education Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a chemical science discipline. Analytical mindset with a proven ability to approach tasks systematically. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all work. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organisation. Excellent time management and prioritisation capabilities. Desirable Knowledge and Skills Familiarity with chromatography and chemical analysis data. Understanding of global chemical legislation, including GHS, CLP, and REACH regulations. Experience in supply classification and authoring safety data sheets. Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation requirements. Background in food or flavour legislation.
