Job Description Place - Housing & Homelessness Team Leader - Localities 8 West Pilton Gardens Salary: £44,257 - £52,373 Hours: 36 per week The City of Edinburgh Council has declared a Housing Emergency and wants to ensure everyone has a secure, safe, warm place to call home, with access to services and a culture that supports individuals and communities to thrive. Following a review of our delivery structure we have an exciting opportunity for Team Leader role in the North West Locality Team. We are looking for an individual who will support the delivery of a high-quality, front-line service to local residents. You will lead from the front to drive performance and embed a customer focused culture within the service which has the needs of our tenants at its heart. The North West locality is organised into Housing Officer patches, covering a large geographical area with a wide variety of housing stock with its own unique challenges and opportunities. This ranges from traditional and new low rise properties (some in estates with high levels of low income and additional needs and others where housing demand far exceeds supply), multi-storeys (some requiring major investment and others having a high number of private owners), and a growing programme of new builds and property regeneration. This is a great opportunity to lead and support a team of Housing Officers in the North West Locality to deliver an excellent service to our tenants in several busy and demanding patches. You will work with skilled and knowledgeable colleagues including other Team Leaders and Concierge staff as well as a range of other services, to assist Council tenants across the locality. This role also includes rental income management, property allocations, tenancy management, neighbourhood improvement projects, environmental works, external repairs, mixed tenure blocks, new builds, and tenant/community engagement.
