Electrical Qualified Engineer
Working days 7am-3pm
Location: Trostre (SA14)
Salary: £29,307 + bonus
What you will do:
1. Underpin manufacturing performance and support manufacturing Improvement and works development plans.
2. Identify improvement opportunities through collaborative working with relevant groups.
3. Ensure that changes to plant, process procedures, and organisation are appropriately risk assessed in line with the works management of change process.
4. Provide engineering expertise & advice in order to diagnose and correct complex faults in the manufacturing process equipment.
5. Ensure that Electrical maintenance work undertaken is completed to time and to appropriate safety and Engineering standards.
6. Develop expertise and keep up to date in maintenance techniques and equipment development applicable to a heavy manufacturing environment by self-study and attendance on appropriate courses.
7. Provide comprehensive reports on breakdowns, repairs, and related engineering activities where appropriate recommending improvements to equipment or systems.
What you will need:
1. If you're qualified to a minimum HNC level, then this is the challenge for you.
2. This will have been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering or you'll hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
3. The Electrical Craft Team Member should have relevant plant experience in electrical/process control systems and be capable of supervising personnel in the safe execution of engineering repair work.
4. Good understanding of electrical safety.
5. Experience of working with industrial/domestic wiring.
6. Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
7. Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations.
8. Experience of digital drives and PLCs.
9. A systematic problem-solving approach.
10. SAP knowledge & basic Microsoft IT skills.
