ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client requires an Estimator to add to the current team working on Social Housing projects within the London / Surrey area. Candidates will ideally be from a Social Housing background and be able to communicate well in a professional manner. The company encourages promotion for employees that are enthusiastic and competent.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. To be fully responsible for the timely delivery of tenders, quotations and budgets.
2. To obtain competitive sub-contract prices to incorporate within our tender submission.
3. To ensure sub-contractors quotations are in accordance with the tender requirements.
4. To prepare detail price breakdown for adjudication meetings prior to the tender submission.
5. To liaise with the Directors to set the profit percentage on specific projects.
6. To liaise with Contract Managers and Surveyors at tender stage and during the construction process.
7. To assist the growth of the company supply chain.
8. To win a reasonable proportion of tenders submitted.
9. To attend tender review meetings / interview with clients.
10. To provide the appropriate breakdowns of tenders / quotations as requested by the client.
11. To produce various management reports on a timely basis.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a degree or a similar qualification however this is not essential. Candidates should have solid Estimating experience with at least five years social housing / public sector project experience.
