The Opportunity:
You will be working on Seeker software, a complex real-time sub-component of a missile, interfacing with advanced sensors and other missile sub-equipment. The role is hands-on, involving the full software life cycle from requirements capture to design, implementation, and verification. You’ll also have opportunities to work in a lab environment, working with missile components and test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including hardware, software, and firmware experts.
* Develop hard real-time embedded software using C in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
* Perform requirements capture, software architecture, and design.
* Implement embedded software solutions and verify through testing and reviews.
* Collaborate to integrate software and analyse system performance.
What We’re Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should have proven experience and proficiency in the following areas:
* Embedded Software Development: Proven experience in hard real-time systems.
* Programming: Strong command of C .
* Communication Protocols: Familiarity with SPI, UART, Ethernet, or PCI-Express .
* Software Design: Experience with methodologies such as UML .
* System Performance Analysis: Ability to evaluate and integrate software components.
