We are looking for a Packing Team Leader - Pontefract
The role will be to ensure efficient operation of the department during shifts as well as managing time between responding and planning maintenance and service activities. Driving improvements within your area of operation and improving department readiness. Proficient machine operation is essential to achieve given targets, whilst maintaining Health & Safety, Hygiene and Quality standards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Completing jobs in line with the Preventative maintenance schedule
10. Responding quickly and effectively to all breakdowns
11. Maintaining department standards, preparing colleagues for maintenance activities and keeping the workshop ready to service department
12. Implementing and maintaining strategies to keep serviceable parts prepared
13. Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
14. Carrying out project/installation work as requested
15. Maintaining throughout the factory and offices.
16. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any Permit to Works, Job recording, fire alarm muting, Health & Safety and hygiene set system of work.
17. Monitoring and managing employee performance, ensuring specifications and procedures are followed accurately at all times
18. Ensuring effective staffing levels are maintained with regard to start and finish times, break times, and ensuring consistency throughout shift.
Manage Self – Activities will involve:

21. To be actively involved in 6S projects
Hours of Work:
Working 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work outside of these hours is essential.
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00
