Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerical Officer based at University Hospital Crosshouse for a 9-month Fixed Term.
What you will do:
You will work within a designated ward area providing a clerical and reception service, receiving patients and members of the public as they arrive at the hospital. Duties include:
1. Maintaining and filing patient confidential records.
2. Recording patient-related data, admissions, and out-patient appointments using the computerised patient administration system.
3. Answering telephones and relaying messages.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands. Candidates should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience.
Hours: 18.5 hours
Week 1: Mon, Tues, 0900-1700; Wed 0900-1230
Week 2: Wed, 0900-1230; Thurs and Friday 0900-1700.
