Job Description
1. Complete month-end close process for total company gross/net revenues
2. Prepare/post GL journal entries including standard entries, gross/net revenue adjustments and expense accruals
3. Ensure integrity and accuracy of GL account data and proper supporting documentation for general ledger adjustments
4. Perform month-end/quarter-end account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of account reconciliations
5. Manage the accounting accrual process and identify variances between accrual entries and actual expenses.
6. Review variances in key revenue/expense accounts and provide insightful variance commentary.
7. Work with acquisition team and assist in the integration newly acquired company financial results into financial reporting
8. Assist in the calculation and timely reporting of company royalty income and sales commission payments
9. Prepare/generate departmental GL detail reports and cost center expense reports supporting the month-end close results.
10. Maintain accounting control procedures and documentation to support month-end close process
11. Assist with the external financial audit process

The Successful Applicant
12. Bachelor's degree required (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
13. Minimum 2 years of experience in finance/accounting (experience in consumer products industry helpful)
14. Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to identify root cause issue and recommend problem resolution
15. Detail oriented with ability to work through ambiguous data
16. Understanding of revenue recognition accounting (pharmaceutical industry experience helpful)
17. CPA and Public Accounting experience a plus
18. Integral knowledge of ERP systems (knowledge of Syspro a plus)
19. Advance skill in Excel and Power Point
20. Ability to multi-task, works successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritizes and manages time and workload to meet business needs
21. Experience with mergers/acquisitions, preferred.
