About The Role Job Outline: Grounds Maintenance Coordinator Salary: £36,683 Working Hours: 39 Hours [Monday – Friday] Location: Blackpool – Layton Depot – Stanley Park Closing Date: Thursday 23rd January – 12 noon An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to be a full-time permanent coordinator of Enveco’s Grounds Maintenance Team. Primary responsibility for Grounds Maintenance of the Grade II Listed Stanley Park is incumbent with this role. Benefits Include: Work life balance annualised hours Monday to Friday Necessary courses provided and career development opportunities Employee discounts with various partners Cycle to work scheme Company lease vehicle scheme Company events Free parking Role Purpose: Undertake the direct supervision and management of horticultural and sports turf elements at Stanley Park and wider parks & green open spaces within Blackpool Borough Coordinate, manage, monitor and supervise the delivery of Grounds Maintenance activities through the supervision of staff, the upkeep of fleet and machinery, and the development of relationships with elected members, residents, volunteer groups, Blackpool Council Parks Development/Leisure Teams and other stakeholders To ensure Stanley Park Blackpool adheres to industry best practice and RHS/IOG standards To deliver an attractive and well-maintained Park facility and Green and Open Space for users Ensure a highly motivated and proactive team of Gardeners and Grounds Persons that have clarity on their roles and responsibilities To support the service manager as direct coordinator for the Grounds Maintenance Team Main Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the direct supervision of a team of skilled gardeners and grounds persons within Stanley Park To undertake daily and reactive work planning for the team Ability to react and plan work accordingly in line with seasonal variations Plan, design, and implementation of seasonal bedding Operational link and liaison between Blackpool Parks Development Team, Friends Groups, Volunteers and Community Payback To work in coordination with the service manager to ensure structured work programs, deadlines, and operational targets are met Involvement in the operational best practice methods of other Parks and Green Open Spaces within the Borough To develop, support, and empower the existing workforce in their career development through apprenticeships, work-based internal and external learning To act as an ambassador for the company and to be a highly motivated individual who promotes a positive team ethic and morale within the workforce Job Type: Full-time Pay: £36,683.00 per year Benefits: Employee discount Free parking Schedule: No weekends Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person
