In the midst of an exciting transformation across the procurement function, where a full Category Management approach has been adopted, a great new Senior Sourcing & Supplier Manager - Professional Services & BPO spend.
Work closely with the Category Lead to design and execute complex category strategies, optimising commercial value and reducing the risks associated with third party relationships, as well as be responsible for continuing to embed the TPRM framework, driving engagement from business stakeholders and ensuring compliance with policy whilst delivering value.
Role and responsibilities:
* Reporting into the Group Category Lead, who has supported the companies recent shift towards a Category Management approach
* Create relevant category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
* Lead and manage a more junior member of the team
* Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
* Support the development of category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects
* Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
* On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Extensive category management experience in the BPO or Professional Services categories
* Worked for a large, complex business ideally within the Professional & Financial Services Sectors (not essential - other Private Sector industries considered)
* Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level+
* Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship
* Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business
* Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team
* MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
